The Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006 recognizes the rights of the forest dwelling tribal communities and other traditional forest dwellers to forest resources, on which these communities were dependent for a variety of needs, including livelihood, habitation and other socio-cultural needs.

Ministry of Tribal Affairs and every year 20 fresh ST students are given scholarship for pursuing Master Degree, Ph.D, Post-Doctoral courses at abroad. Ministry of Tribal Affairs is fully committed to the smooth and effective implementation of the Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT). DBT aims to bring transparency, eliminate misuse of funds and enable enhanced monitoring of the Schemes implemented by the Government of India. In DBT, benefit or subsidy will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Public Finance Management System (PFMS) acts as the common Platform for DBT. All State Governments/ UTs shall upload data regarding DBT Transactions on the portal for every month by the 4th day of the next month.

Adi Prashikshan provide a central database for all training programs conducted by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the State Tribal Development/ Welfare Department as well other nodal agencies responsible for tribal development. The portal enables to bring together information on various training programs being held across the country on the flagship programs of tribal development such as constitutional safeguard and legislative protection, Forest Rights Act, skill & entrepreneurship development, training for ST PRI members, teachers of tribal schools, youth etc .
