The General Administration Department is a key department of the Government of NCT of Delhi situated in the Delhi Secretariat which is managing establishment and administrative matters of Council of Minister of Delhi Government and 700 Gazetted and Non-Gazetted officers and officials along with organisation of important functions, protocol matters, management of Canteen and Library apart from handling the administrative matters of 4 Departments (PWD, Finance, Home & Language) under its administrative control.

The Weights and Measures Department is engaged in regulating use of correct weighing and measuring instruments in production, trade and commerce to ensure that exact weight, measure and number of any commodity is provided to any customer as contracted for, or paid for by him. It also safeguards consumers' interest by ensuring mandatory declarations on packaged commodities.

The Sindhi Academy was established by the erstwhile Delhi Administration now Govt.of NCT of Delhi as an autonomous organisation in the year 1994 for propagation, promotion and development of Sindhi language, literature and culture as an integral part of composite culture of Union Territory of Delhi.

Sahitya Kala Parishad, the cultural wing of the Government of NCT of Delhi was setup in 1968 for the promotion and propagation of Art and Culture in Delhi. As one of the most interactive department of the Delhi Government, Sahitya Kala Parishad for the past three decades and more, has been carrying out its mandate with full vigor and dedication.

Delhi after independence has emerged as a cosmopolitan city of diverse cultures and languages. It has always been the endeavour of the Delhi Administration to provide all possible facilities for the development and promotion of different languages and projection of the composite culture of Delhi. With a view to promoting and reviving this consciousness, the Delhi Administration has established the Punjabi Academy in September,1981.

The Language Department coordinates the activities of language Academies and Sahitya Kala Parishad and processes & sanctions the grant-in-aid to these autonomous bodies.

Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya is being developed as a state of the art super speciality pediatric hospital with a bed strength of 221 to provide comprehensive medical care for all pediatric related medical and surgical illnesses under one roof. It is located at Geeta Colony, Delhi in an area of 1.6 hectare. Besides providing medical facilities it is being developed as a Post Graduate Teaching/Training institute.

The Department of Food & Supplies, Govt. of Delhi, manages Public Distribution System (PDS) in Delhi for regulating production, supply and distribution of trade and commerce in essential commodities with a view to maintain or increase supplies thereof and secure their equitable distribution and availability at fair prices by enforcing the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 and various Control Orders made thereunder.
