Saran District is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar state and it occupies an area of 2,641 sq.km. The District comprises 3 Sub-divisions and 20 Blocks. There are few villages in saran which are known for its historical and social significance. One of those villages is Rampur Kallan. The places of tourist Interests in the District are Aami, Sonepur, Dhorh Ashram, Silhauri and Chirand etc.
