The Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (IRIMEE) is one of the six Centralized Training Institutes of Indian Railways functioning for training of Railway Officers. It presently conducts training courses for in-service Mechanical & M&C Officers and supervisors and appreciation courses in Mechanical Engg for officers of other disciplines in Indian Railways.

Indian Railways provide decision support system (DSS) to support decision and planning functions by several kinds of analyses, which depends on knowing the area location, content, technical state of rail elements, geographical conditions and administrative rules.

Indian Ocean Memorandum of Understanding (IOMOU) Secretariat is based at Goa in India. The secretariat is governed by and accountable to the Committee of the Indian Ocean Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control. It services the Committee meetings and assists the Committee in its activities.

Hyderabad Metro Rail is being developed as one of the largest modern transport systems in the world based upon the PPP model. The main idea behind the concept of Metro Rail is to make sure commuters reach on time to work and not delayed on account of lack of rapid transport. Growing urbanisations has led to innumerable problems for commuters who are delayed on account of traffic jams. Metro Rail will allow them to bypass these traffic congestion barriers.
