The existing provisions of the guidelines have been further revised. This supersedes all previous operational guidelines issued in connection with PMKSY- Ground Water Irrigation by MoWR, RD & GR.

In supersession of the previous guidelines issued by this Ministry dated 13th July 2005, the Union Government have decided to allow, with immediate effect: Facsimile editions, in whole or in part(s), of foreign newspapers, by Indian entities, with or without foreign investment, and also by foreign companies owning the original newspaper, provided they get incorporated and registered in India under the Companies Act, 1956.

DAVP shall be the nodal agency for all Central Govt Ministries / Departments for advertising through DAVP-empaneled internet websites. All releases of such advertisements shall be through DAVP. However, autonomous bodies / PSUs, can if they so wish release advertisements directly, but at DAVP rates to websites empaneled with DAVP.

All empaneled Pvt. FM stations shall provide Third Party Verification/ Authentication report as a proof of broadcast of spots as per release order issued by BOC along with physical bills for release of payment.

In July 2013, the Government of India approved a new scheme namely "Supporting Community Radio Movement in India" for providing financial assistance to Community Radio Stations under the component Community Radio Support Scheme (CRSS). Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India has formulated policy guidelines for Television Rating Agencies to operate in India. These guidelines shall be applicable to all rating agencies providing television rating services in India and shall come into force after 30 days from the date of issuance of the same. All rating agencies, including the existing rating agency, shall require registration from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed under these guidelines.
