Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 was established in 1983. It was running in a temporary building provided by the defence authorities. It was situated at Jaisalmer Road opposite telephone exchange. The defence authorities have provided 11.7 Acres land in the contonment to KVS for permanent building of the vidyalaya. At Present this Vidyalaya is running in new build ing situated near shopping complex in contonment area. The vidyalaya has two sections from class I to X and one section with science and commerce stream in class XI & XII.
