This biopesticide has been developed using a novel technique of making micro-sized powder of whole Neem fruits. Azadirachtin, the active ingredient in Neem, after extraction becomes unstable when sprayed on crops and its insecticidal effect is short-lived. Instead of extraction, this technology utilizes azadirachtin in its original form as in Neem fruit.

Phosphatic fertilizer from biosludge obtained from distillery waste has developed and the process is patented (No.758/MUM/2007 Dated 19.04.2007, Indian Patent No. 238485). This fertilizer contains more available phosphorus and is more efficient than conventional single super phosphate (SSP) fertilizer.

Organic carbon is an indicator element of soil fertility. Positive correlation between carbon content and crop yield has been observed all over world within different types of soil. A simple technology for instant analysis of fertility of soil has been developed at BARC.

Panchayats have been mandated for the preparation of Panchayat Development Plan (PDP) for economic development and social justice utilizing the resources available to them. The PDP planning process has to be comprehensive and based on participatory process which involves the full convergence with Schemes of all related Central Ministries / Line Departments related to 29 subjects enlisted in the Eleventh Schedule of the Constitution.
