The Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) is the apex authority of Municipal Administration Department of Government of Telangana, which provides guidance to Municipal Corporations and Municipalities in performing their day to day activities in adherence to the policies, procedures and guidelines provided by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department to achieve effective civic administration.

Law Department is mainly an Advisory Department to all the Departments of Secretariat on Legal matters. It scrutinizes draft Orders, notifications, rules, bye laws, regulations, Memorandum of Understandings (both Statutory and Non-Statutory) Rules, Instructions and Drafts, Drafting work relating to the Legislation of Draft Bills and Ordinances in Legislative matters.
