As the harvest season begins, Indian sports persons continue to win laurels at the Tokyo Paralympics having won 19 medals, India's best performance till date at the Paralympic games! This exemplary feat follows the unprecedented haul of medals by India at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. While there are global warnings of a third wave of COVID-19, India is picking up the pace of vaccination, with the highest number yet of 1.32 crore vaccines being administered recently on 31st August. Hopefully, with the heightened awareness & adoption of good practices such as maintaining hand & mask hygiene, social distancing, following a healthy diet and activity regimen etc, we should be able to overcome the menace of the pandemic. September is the month for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi/Vinayaka Chaturthi. Teacher's Day is also celebrated on 5th September in honor of the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan, a revered teacher and India's Second President.
