The Office of the Advocate General, Odisha came into existence with the creation of separate province of Odisha from 1st April, 1936. After establishment of High Court of Odisha, the Office of the Advocate General has started functioning within the High Court premises in the building provided for the purpose by the High Court of Odisha since, 1948, Office of the Advocate General, Odisha is a permanent establishment, It has two wings viz. Judicial and Administrative-cum-­Accounts.
